Vodafone, a British multinational Telecommunications company, who overtook Mannesmann, an industrial conglomerate company. The whole deal was settled in $180 billion, with a final hostile of 53.7% shares of Vodafone and 47.2% shares with Mannesmann shareholders. This has lead to huge access of Vodafone into European market.
To beat this record the companies had to make a deal with larger amount than this acquisition.
