Dr.V. P. Ramani is a retired principal at, the College of Agriculture and Polytechnic in Agriculture, Anand Agricultural University, Vaso, and former Associate Director of Research and Office In-charge, AICRP on Micronutrients at AAU, Anand (Gujarat). Dr. Ramani has vast experience in research, teaching, and extension activities for about 34 years in Agriculture.Visited Katholieke Universiteit, Leuven, Belgium as a Researcher/ Visiting Professor under EM-ECW 15 India Mobility Program. Dr. Ramaniis the President of AC, Indian Society of Soil Science. He served society as a councillor for two terms and acted as a member of the judging/selection committee for poster/oral presentations and various awards. Dr. Ramani has guided 5 research scholars for Ph. D. and 10 for their M. Sc. Programme.Dr Ramani has created a school of research on the importance of micro and -secondary nutrients in food and nutritional security besides pollution research. As an Associate Director of Research, he has monitored various research activities of Anand Agricultural University. Further, as Principal, he has initiated and executed different projects/activities like “Divert your time for Development”, “Healthy Mind in Healthy Body”, “Mobile to Medan”, “Fans Club”, “SAVERS” group, etc. for integrated personality development of the students and to build up qualities for good citizenship.
