Prof. Akhtar Ali Khan has an overall experience of more than 21 years in the field of Research and more than 18 years in Teaching and Extension. He obtained his B.Sc Degree in Agriculture and M.Sc. in Entomology from Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Kanpur during 1994 and1996, respectively and Ph. D degree in Entomology form most prestigious institution Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi in 2001 and also awarded D.Sc in Entomology by International Agency for Standard and Rating in 2020. Prof. Khan has been awarded Fellow of Society of Bio-control Advancement, Bangalore in 2014 for outstanding work in the field of Biological Control of crop pests. He has served as member at different bodies and examiner for M.Sc and Ph.D. He has delivered several invited talks in prestigious institutions/Trainings, organized several Trainings and also associated in developed and release of 05 New Varieties. Dr. Khan Has Guided 36 M.Sc and Ph.D Students. He has completed 09 externally Funded Projects funded by ICAR, DST, DBT, UGC and Developed 25 Technologies in addition to his 148 National and International Publications including prestigious peer-reviewed Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals like the Springer, Taylor and Francis etc. He is also a reviewer for National and International Journals and the Editorial board member for National and International Academic journals. He is highly passionate about his teaching and imparted both Theory and field oriented Practical classes for the B.Sc (Horticulture), MSc and Ph.D (Entomology) students in addition to his Teaching work also worked as Warden and Coach of University Cricket team.
