Dr. Smt. G. THAMARAISELVI, M.Sc. M.L.I.S., Ph.D.(LIS), Head Librarian of National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, has rendered 39 years of Academic Information Service to the user society. She has presented and published more than 100 research articles and papers in reputed International Journals and conferences and published two Books entitled “Role of ICTs in Library and Information Science” during 2005 and “Knowledge Management in Academic Libraries” in 2019 and many more Book chapters. She has been honoured by BHARATH VIKAS NATIONAL AWARD by ISR, VINUS INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH AWARD 2017, ACADEMIC BRILLIANCE AWARD 2018 by EET CRS, IOSRD INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH AWARD in 2018 and International Best Researcher Award by VDGOOD Technology Factory during January 2020 & Asia’s Top-50 Academicians and researchers International Award in 2021, International Academic Icon Award-2022 & Women of Wonder Award-2022 & Pride of India – Best Librarian Award – 2022 by ICSRR. Her research paper won the Second prize of the International Paper Contest conducted by the American Society of Information Science & Technology in the year 2004 and Best research paper award in the 6th International Conference of GSTF held at Singapore. She is rendering services to the academic research arena, as Editorial Board member of IASEJ (USA) International Journal, IJARLIS & INDERSCIENCE JOURNAL,,Ph.D. Thesis evaluator and exam board member of reputed Universities like Anna University and Periyar Maniammai University etc. She is a member of many professional associations like SALIS, TLA, ASIST, DELNET, IASLIC, ILA, ISTE & other LISNETWORKs. She is able to communicate and write in Tamil, Hindi and English. Also she is highly Philanthrophic and keen in Human values and welfare. As a member of Women Harassment Committee, Ladies Club, Faculty Association etc. She has provided able services for the development and welfare of the working women and other staff at NITT.
