Career Key Highlights: Dr. Showkat Hussain Tali grew up in J and K, India. After obtaining Bachelor's degree (MBBS) in 2005, he obtained MD in Pediatric Medicine from the University of Kashmir in 2010. In 2013 he joined Surya Children’s Hospital Mumbai and became Board Certified in neonatology from the National Board of India in 2015. In November 2016 he joined Adesh University Punjab as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and was in charge of Neonatology. At present, he is working as an assistant professor of pediatrics Govt. Medical College Anantnag. To date has 33 publications mostly in international journals. He received a science talent search award from the department of science and technology the Govt. of j & K in 1997; a creative writing award from the Help Foundation and Raju Gandhi foundation in 2006, EET CRS official spotlight certificate in the young faculty category at New Delhi in 2017; first position award for his research paper presentation at 7th international Arab Neonatal Care conference Dubai-2017; certificate of excellence in reviewing from the journal of pharmaceutical research international (sdi/hq/pr/cer/72170/sho); award from WHO J and K branch for significant contribution towards the elimination of measles-2022; appreciation certificate from MS Adesh university Punjab for excellent patient care; Award of appreciation-2018 and best book award for the year 2021 by Maraaz Adbi Sangam affiliated to cultural academy J & K, and many more. He has presented his work at many national and international conferences including ‘IAP Neocon Mumbai-2015’; BIT’s international congress on gynecology and obstetrics-2017 Prague Czech Republic; 14th world pediatric and neonatal health care conference 2017, Los Angeles, USA; 7th international Arab Neonatal Care conference-2017, Dubai, UAE; International conference on “Advances in Neonatal and Pediatric Nutrition-2018”, London, UK; 2nd international conference on nutraceuticals and 5th international conference on food beverages-2019, Osaka Japan; Paris event of 26th world congress on nutrition and food sciences on 29 September 2022; International Conference on Approaches to New Mutations in Viruses & Combating Health Care Practices - Dubai 2022 and many more. Apart from giving an oral speech and presenting a poster, he CO-Chaired a scientific session and was the moderator of 14th world pediatric and neonatal Care Conference Los Angeles, USA; attended the international conference “Advances in Neonatal and Pediatric Nutrition 2018”, at London, UK as key note speaker and Co-chaired a session with Professor Alexander Oleskein, Moscow state university Russia. He is an editorial board member of ‘Archives of pediatrics and neonatology, an international journal published from USA. In 2021 he was awarded ENS (Early nutrition specialist) certificate by Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany. He is one of the authors of the prestigious “Textbook of Clinical Neonatology” published by the Indian academy of pediatrics and the national neonatal forum India-2021.
