Dr. K T Gurumurthy is working as Professor in the Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, CoA, UAHS, Shivamogga, Karnataka. He received 8th Science and Technology Award-19, Best faculty award by education expo TV, research wing for excellence in Professional Excellence in Industry. He has been involved in teaching, research and extension activities & offering all the UG and PG courses of the Department of Soil Science. He is involved in administration of the University. He established Remote Sensing and GIS Laboratory and created the facilities of 6 work stations, 5 PCs, 2 licenses of ERDAS and 1 licenses of Arc GIS 10.6.1 software, A0 scanner cum plotter, A0 laminator, DSS system and Storage area network (70 TB) with the budget of 168 lakh. He also established soil analysis laboratories with Modular tables, equipped with high end equipment like Atomic Absorption Spectrometer, Pressure Plate Apparatus, CHNS Analyser, UV Spectrophotometer. Flame Photometer, Hot air oven, Rotary shaker, Water Purifier etc. with the budget of 189 lakh. He Established Automatic weather stations in farmer fields at Ajjampura micro watershed of Tarikere taluk, Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka with a budget of 51.30 lakh. Officially Incredible!!!
