Mrs. Neetika Sharma is a Research scholar in the Department of Zoology, HNB Garhwal University (A Central University), Srinagar Garhwal, Uttarakhand. She is pursuing her Ph.D. in the field of river ecology, examining the impacts of commissioned hydropower projects on the ecological status of the river Alaknanda under the guidance of Prof. Prakash Nautiyal. She worked in a three- year research project as Junior Project Fellow of National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS) funded by G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment and Sustainable Development, Kosi-Katarmal, Almora from 2016-2019. She has been working for more than five years in the research field; it is just a beginning but she has the ability to work independently and use her own initiative.
